Taurian painting is a pearl of the Black Sea. It originated and was formed on the territory of the Kinburn Peninsula as a means of home decoration. Now it is widely popularized in the Mykolaiv region and is its brand. Many Ukrainians like this painting. And not only because our native colors win here.

Somehow, in a special, familiar way, he is recalled in my soul. Its lightness, color range, plot compositions that remind of childhood... And it is not important that my own associations are not with the sea, but with our Dnipro river. The main thing is that this water theme is close and sounds like an echo of joy.

The concept of Tavria as a territory is a bit blurred. It is interesting, for example, that the Tavrian province (which was created in 1802) included the lands of the Crimea, parts of the modern Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions. Maybe that's why he is so close to me.
