A feather from an angel

Story from “My Road to Myself”

Do you, friends, believe in angels?

How do you communicate with them?

What kind of response signs are they sending to you?

I have lived a long enough life. There was a lot of variety in it. There were moments when every word was composed into a poem, and the soul sang. And there were days when the world seemed alien and cold, and I felt alone in the midst of an incomprehensible world.

That's when we need support the most.

And for some reason I believe that when a request comes from the heart, the answer always comes.

One day I stood outside for a long time.

To be honest, I don't remember what I prayed about. But I guess it doesn't matter. God knows our thoughts even without words.

The sky was clear, high and so unattainable...

Suddenly I noticed a small white feather.

She was descending very slowly right in front of me.

I held out my hand.

The feather fell right into my hand.

She was absolutely tiny. No bigger than a centimeter. I've never seen one that small before.

Even now, remembering that moment, I feel tears welling up in my eyes.

That was the first time I felt that my prayer had been heard.

Perhaps someone will say that it was an ordinary feather brought by the wind.

I won't argue.

But I remember well that there was no wind that day. And not a single bird flew overhead.

For me, it wasn't just a feather.

It was Hope.

A small sign from Heaven that said without words:

"You are not alone."

Since then, there have been many more feathers in my life. Each one came in its own time and had its own story.

But it was this one — the first one — that forever remained special to me.

Thank you for every feather that life has given me.

Maybe there have been little feathers like these in your life too. Or other signs. Maybe it was an unexpected meeting, a kind word, a ray of sunshine or someone's smile just when they were needed the most. I sincerely believe that Heaven always finds a way to answer. The main thing is not to stop looking up and learn to notice its silent answers.
