Inspiration

Once upon a time, I also didn't know what to draw, where to look for ideas, and where inspiration came from.

Today, this topic no longer seems like a mystery to me. Over time, I realized one simple thing: you don't have to look for inspiration. You have to learn to notice it.

My main secret to inspiration is beauty.

To create beauty, you need to be inspired by beauty.

But not only the one that the eyes see. The strongest inspiration is born when the heart recognizes beauty. It can live in a flower, a morning mist, an old tree, a child's smile, or a kind deed.

Nature is an inexhaustible source of perfect forms, harmonious lines and colors. For me, flowers have always been the greatest inspiration. But everyone finds their own.

Take a closer look at the world around you. A bizarre tree trunk, a spike of roadside grass, the bend of a willow twig, or an ordinary field daisy can be as captivating as the most expensive exotic flowers.

Sometimes it's enough to just stop.

Beauty is always nearby.

Of course, it's great to travel and discover new places. But inspiration is not measured in kilometers. The great artist Claude Monet found it in his own garden, which he himself took care of for many years.

So find your places of strength. Go for a walk in the park, go out of town, discover the beauty of Ukraine. It is incredibly rich in amazing corners of nature.

What else helps creativity?

• Get excited about finding beauty.
• Rejoice in every encounter with beauty. Joy is one of the best guides in life.
• Do what you love.
• Learn. See the works of great masters, try new techniques, get acquainted with the art of different peoples, visit museums and exhibitions.
• Study the history and culture of your people. Our roots are also inspiring.
• Observe the colors, their combinations, the rhythm of nature and ornaments.
• Read fairy tales, legends, poetry. They create images.
• Listen to music, birdsong, the sound of rain and wind.
• Watch good movies.
• Write down interesting dreams - sometimes they give you unexpected creative ideas.
• Find like-minded people. It's much more fun to dream and create together.
• Do good deeds. They fill the heart with light.
• Communicate with children. They know how to create without fear of making mistakes.

Once upon a time, my little granddaughter always answered seriously when asked to help her draw:

— I am an artist here!

Many years have passed. She has grown up. But I still remember those words.

It seems that every child comes into this world as an artist. And as we grow up, we often simply forget about it.

Creativity is not just about paintings. Each of us creates our own lives every day.

So draw, create, observe, marvel, notice beauty. Once you learn to see it, you will never look for inspiration again.

It will find you.
